Academics

At LORDS, every day is a journey of growth for our students. Our teachers create a safe space for learning and exploration, both inside and outside the classroom. LORDS is a day cum residential, co-educational school which will be proposed to CISCE, NEW DELHI, starting with classes 1 to 8 each with 30 students for the academic year 2024-25. Our ICSE curriculum focuses on practical knowledge and analytical skills through engaging activities. We teach in English and offer Kannada/Hindi/French/Sanskrit as second or third languages. Our core subjects include Mathematics, History, Civics, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Students also explore electives like Computer Applications, Arts, Physical Education, Environmental Studies, and Commerce for a well-rounded education.

ACADEMICS & CORE CURRICULUM

BRIEF

Our school in Udupi, which will be proposed to CISCE, New Delhi, is a fully air-conditioned Day cum Residential, Co-educational School welcoming classes for the Academic Year 2024-25. Day-boarding facilities are exclusively extended to students of Grades I to IV (that is, to children of age group 6 to 10 years) whereas boarding will be open for students of Grades V and above. In the first year, i.e., 2024 -25, admissions to Grades I to IV as day-boarding students and to Grades V to VIII as boarding students will be processed based on personal Academic Aptitude Assessment and on the previous school’s performance record. Every year, a grade will be added till the school progresses to a full-fledged Sr. Secondary one.

Primary: Grades I to lV

LORDS incorporates the best practices of teaching and focuses on experiential learning for optimum results. The project and inquiry-based learning pedagogies enable our students to understand the concepts well and groom them for their next phase of learning and development. Students at this stage will study English, Hindi/Kannada, Maths, Science and Technology, Social Sciences, Computers (Robotics, Coding from Grade 3), Art Education, Environmental Sciences, Music, Physical Education and Yoga.

Middle School: Grades V to VIII

Students will study English, Kannada/Hindi/French, History, Civics, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths, Computer Applications at this stage and joyfully progress to the next level of learning. Apart from academic subjects, students will be initiated into SUPW (Socially Useful & Productive Work), Community Service, Art Education, Physical Education, Yoga, and EVS as per CISCE guidelines. It is mandatory to qualify in a third language as well as in SUPW to be eligible for promotion to Grade IX.
Students will also have the opportunity to participate in various inter and intra-school sports, curricular and co-curricular competitions to hone their overall personality. Foundation programmes will be offered from Grade VIII to prepare students for different competitive exams like NTSE, NEET, JEE, KVPY, and so on.

SECONDARY & SR. SECONDARY

The New Education Policy includes Grades IX to XIII as a part of Secondary Education Programme and provides a choice for students to either opt for Science, Arts, Commerce, or Vocational stream according to their aptitude. Our secondary education is aimed at empowering our students to become competent, independent, knowledgeable, self-reliant, and confident individuals. The choice of subjects that a student makes at this stage will enable him/her to progress smoothly to his/her professional sphere of pursuit. Students at this level will have an option to choose from amongst the CISCE/IB/IGCSE Curriculum.

Academic Programmes

LORDS is a fully-residential, co-educational school from Grade V which in due course, will be proposed to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi.

Day-Boarding is open for Grades I to IV only.

To enhance analytical skills of students and to provide practical knowledge of the subjects through activities, project based ICSE Curriculum will be followed.

We offer English as the medium of instruction and first language; Kannada / Hindi / French / Sanskrit as second or third language; Mathematics, History and Civics, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Biology as Core subjects; Computer Application / Art / Physical Education / EVS / Music / AI / Robotics / Commerce as Electives.

Note: The Electives will be offered according to the number of students opting it / viability.
